How to Rinse the Soil Mix
The growth media / soil mix should be rinsed before used in the tank.
Put the mix into a mesh bag (provided in the starter kit).
Run water through to remove dust and small particles.
Change out dirty water
Keep rinsing until the water is clear.
!! When pouring the mix into the tank, be careful not to scratch the sides.
